I am pleased to announce my 4th Annual Menstrual Product Drive. As Chair of the Senate’s Committee on Women’s Issues, I am committed to fighting for equitable access to period supplies.

For far too many women and girls, the cost of period supplies creates significant barriers to attending school, working, and fully participating in their daily lives. In New York, a month’s supply of period products costs $15.56—the highest in the nation. People who menstruate in New York will spend, on average, $7,282.08 over the course of their lifetime on period products.

I want to thank our community partners for joining my office in this initiative. I invite the community to donate supplies and help us address the need for menstrual products in Broome, Cortland, and Tompkins Counties.
