Dear Neighbor,
I hope the new school year is off to a great start for our students, families, educators, and school communities. It was wonderful to see so many of you at back-to-school events throughout the district as we helped our young people prepare for a successful year ahead.
I also want to thank everyone who joined us for our District Office Open House. My team and I appreciated the opportunity to meet so many neighbors, hear directly from you, and share more about the services our office provides. Please remember that our office is always here to serve you. You can visit or call our District Office Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, or reach us by email, and a member of our team will be happy to assist you.
As we head into fall, I’m excited to share several upcoming opportunities to connect with our office and access important resources, including part two of our four-part webinar series with Manhattan Legal Services, community shred event, job fair, and upcoming constituent service hours throughout the district, and more!
Remembering September 11
Today marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. As New Yorkers, we pause to remember the thousands of lives lost, the first responders who risked their lives to save others, and the countless people who came together in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
We also honor the many New Yorkers who have lost their lives in the years since due to 9/11 related illnesses, those who continue to live with the lasting health impacts, and the families and communities who carry their memories forward.
Twenty-five years later, we remember their lives, their courage, and the spirit of a city that came together for one another.
