Dear Neighbor,

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend!

With Spring in full bloom, I hope you are taking time to engage in the natural spaces all around you. A visit to your local park is more than momentary leisure, it can have significant health and wellness benefits.

Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting the markets at Hunts Point, which is the largest food distribution center in the world! As a vital part of the district, I am strongly advocating for much needed funding for repairs and upgrades. I am grateful for the workers there who ensure food gets to our supermarkets and tables!

In Albany we have been very busy with legislative issues, as well as completion of the state budget. I have been fighting for the resources that we need in the 29th Senate District. From the arts and culture, to parks and schools, I am fighting to ensure we have a fair budget that protects those most vulnerable in our community.

Now and always, I welcome your suggestions and feedback. Please visit, call or email with your ideas and concerns. We are here to help!

Yours in progress,

Senator José M. Serrano

Chair of the Majority Conference
