Youth Worker: Youth Workers will report directly to the Program Director. They will be in charge of a group of children and will be responsible for the overall care and safety of the children. Youth Workers will be responsible for assisting the Activity Specialist and group leader with ensuring supplies are available and retrieving all required supplies, as needed. In addition, Youth Workers will actively participate in the activity by assisting participants.
Youth Worker Job Qualifications:
-Must be 17 years old or older.
-Experience working with children, experience working in an after-school environment preferred.
-Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
-Availability between 8:00 – 6:00; at least 3 days a week, Monday-Friday for our summer program.

Group Leader: Group Leaders will report directly to the Program Director and will be in responsible for a group of children, and their overall care and safety. They will be responsible for conducting aged appropriate activities alongside the Activity Specialist.
Group Leader Qualifications:
-Must be 18 years old or older.
-High School Diploma required, some college or relevant degree preferred.
-Experience working with children, experience working in an afterschool environment preferred.
-Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
-Availability between 8:00 – 6:00; at least 3 days a week, Monday-Friday for our summer program.

Instructor: Instructors facilitate service learning, organize trips, conduct outreach and recruitment, and partner with the community on service-based projects. They provide supervision to group leaders/counselors and provide quarterly reports to meet the organization’s and DYCD’s requirements. Our Academic and Sports Instructors are responsible for creating lessons, projects and objectives that meet the individual students’ needs. That employee fosters an atmosphere of fun and learning and serves as a role model to youth, always conducting themself in the utmost professional manner and maintaining appropriate boundaries. They are also responsible for maintaining the target number of participants.
Instructor Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree and Teaching Certification Required.
-Interest and experience in creating interactive and academic, social learning, artistic, and/or recreational activities.
-Minimum of two years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required.
-A genuine enthusiasm for developing professional skills through training opportunities and field practice.
-Must have passion for the organization's mission and demonstrated interest in the field of education and youth development.
-Availability at least 3 days a week, Monday-Friday during our summer program.
-Certifications and credentials in respective skill-based activities are highly preferred.
-Candidates who are qualified to lead instruction in more than one activity preferred as well.
-Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with a broad range of people including school staff, parents, volunteers, and others.
-Flexibility, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
