The Fourth Senatorial District has been busy with amazing community events, and I’ve been enjoying every minute of it! Below you will find what my office and I have been up to in the district along with information on community resources and events, as well as flyers for events our office is hosting!

I cordially invite the Fourth Senatorial District to two exciting upcoming events our office is hosting, a Back to School Backpack & Supplies Giveaway event at East Brentwood Fire Department on Saturday, August 26 from 11AM to 1PM and a End of Summer Community BBQ at Hermann Griem Park on Saturday, September 2 from 11AM to 1PM! We are excited to be partnering with various generous sponsors to bring a fun-filled day to the community, which will include a backpack and supplies giveaway, food, treats, fun games and much more! Please feel free to share our flyers below with our community! I hope to see you there!

Last week, I joined the Wyandanch and Brentwood community for their 2023 National Night Out! This annual community-building event provides our law enforcement agencies and local communities an opportunity to come together under positive circumstances and simply spend time together as neighbors!

Thank you to the Suffolk County Police Department's First and Third Precinct for hosting a wonderful event! It was great to see the large turnout at each National Night Out, as well as families and children having a great time getting to meet our police officers.

A huge thank you to the New York State Troopers for partnering with us and making our Car Seat Safety event possible! Certified Car Seat Technicians were present to provide life-saving services to our community, by ensuring car seats are up to date, properly installed and safe!

Additionally, thank you to our sponsors and participating organizations for joining us to provide resources and fun activities for the families in attendance.

I had the honor of joining the Town of Babylon for the UJIMA Internship Closing Dinner. Participating interns had the opportunity to work in various offices within the Town of Babylon and receive the unique experience of seeing how our local government works, as well as serving our communities in different capacities. Congratulations to all, wishing you great success in your future endeavors! 

Our office had the honor of joining forces with the Deer Park Drug Prevention Coalition for their 5th Annual Overdose Awareness Walk. This incredible group of community members are determined and focused on ensuring our community and Long Island as a whole are aware about the dangers of drug use, working diligently to support survivors and their families.

I am proud to join them in their efforts and invite you to their 4th Annual National Overdose Prevention Day Rally & Candlelight Vigil on Thursday, August 31 from 6:30PM to 8:30PM at Geiger Park. Please find their official flyer below. 

Thank you to El Salvador Consulate for having me at the Salvadoran-American Day, also known as the largest pupusa one-day festival in Suffolk County! As a proud Salvadoran, I had a wonderful time celebrating my heritage and its beautiful people! It was an honor to present proclamations to the Consul and Vice Consul for all of their incredible work in our community!

Thank you to the Brentwood Fire Department for having me at their Installation Dinner to celebrate their 125th Anniversary and honor Outgoing Chief Kelly and welcoming Chief Renison, as their new Chief of the Department! Congratulations to all and thank you for the admirable services you provide to our district!

I had a great time at the 29th Annual Clam Shucking Contest hosted by the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition at the Bay Shore Marina! A wonderful annual fundraiser to help support those battling with breast cancer as they undergo treatments and necessary medical attention. Thank you to Donna and the organizers for inviting me!
