Monthly Newsletter
April 12, 2026

April brings longer days, warmer weather, and the start of road construction season. As crews get to work making improvements, it is a good reminder to slow down, stay alert, and keep highway workers safe.

It is National Volunteer Month, and throughout this newsletter you will see just a few examples of the people and organizations making a difference. I am grateful for all they do. If you have ever thought about getting involved, now is a great time. Volunteer fire departments, EMS agencies, and community organizations can always use extra help.

At the State Capitol, April means the budget is due. Negotiations are ongoing, and I remain focused on pushing for a budget that addresses affordability, supports local communities, and makes responsible use of your tax dollars.

Warmest wishes for a wonderful spring,

Pam

Women are making a real difference across our region. During Women’s History Month, the New York State Legislative Women’s Caucus recognized leaders whose work is strengthening communities across New York. I was proud to highlight Stacey Mrva of Springwater for helping women, veterans, and others build confidence and find new purpose through her welding program. I also recognized Heather Ferrero of Geneseo for her leadership in Livingston County and her commitment to growth. Their contributions are making a lasting impact.
