Happy Fall!

Summer break is over and school is back in session. The start of the new school year is an exciting time filled with opportunities. Many students are looking forward to getting back into a routine, reconnecting with friends and hitting the books!

As a reminder, please slowdown in school zones and watch for children getting on and off school buses.

Wishing all of our students, teachers, and families a safe, successful, and joyful year ahead.

Remembering September 11th

9/11 will always be a day of remembrance. Every day we can choose to honor those who lost their lives and those who died saving others with simple acts of respect towards those who serve us today.

Let's pledge to NEVER FORGET the sacrifices made 24 years ago today by honoring our everyday heroes. Our firefighters, police officers, EMS workers, healthcare providers and members of our nations armed forces. They protect us and keep us safe. They keep us free.

Thank you to the communities, like Geneva and North Rose, who continue to hold ceremonies to pay tribute to the heroes who answered the call with courage and sacrifice.

The spirit of service, unity, and love of country must continue to guide us forward.

May God bless our community and our nation.

This transformation shows the positive that can happen when people believe in a mission, a community, and invest in its future.

Standing Against Dangerous Parole Board Changes

The State Board of Parole is considering a rule change that would give offenders who committed crimes as minors “special consideration” for release, based on their age at the time of the crime.

Youth Spotlight

The Geneva Youth Police Academy is an outstanding program that gives young people hands-on opportunities to learn about the important work our officers do every day.

It was inspiring to attend the graduation ceremony, meet the students, and present Senate Citations to each of the graduates. These young men and women represent the next generation of leaders!

Thank you to Chief Eveland, Lt. Nicholas Bielowitz, Donna Schaertl from Back the Blue, and the entire Geneva Police Department for making this program possible.

Concerned About High Energy Costs?

Many of you have shared your concerns regarding rising utility prices and the proposed NYSEG and RG&E rate hikes.

The Public Service Commission is currently reviewing proposed NYSEG and RG&E rate hikes.

This is your opportunity to share your concerns. The links below will take you to the PSC comment page.

Your input matters. Together, we can send a clear message: New Yorkers cannot afford another burden on their monthly bills.

Connecting with the Community

Being accessible to the public is an essential part of serving as your State Senator. Mobile Office Hours are a wonderful way to meet directly with residents, hear concerns, and discuss ideas one-on-one. Many visitors have expressed their appreciation for these community meetings, and they will continue to be held across all four counties in the district.

The response to the recent Mobile Office Hours in Honeoye, Macedon, and Victor was fantastic. It was a privilege to connect with so many community members, and there are more opportunities ahead.
