• We're accepting donations to our Holiday Toy Drive! Stop by to donate new, unwrapped gifts at our district office through December 18 for our toy giveaway at Full Gospel Assembly on December 21st. Donated toys will go to families in need this holiday season. Drop off toys anytime at our district office, Monday through Thursday from 10:00 - 6:00 and Fridays from 10:00 - 3:00. 
• We still have rain barrels at our district office! Come pick one up at your convenience. As a reminder, our office is open from Monday through Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Full Gospel Assembly is Hosting a Thanksgiving Lunch! Thanksgiving Day, November 28th, 12:00 p.m. at full Gospel Assembly (131 Sullivan Pl, open to the public). 
• Our office is co-hosting a Senior Thanksgiving Celebration with the offices of Assembly Member Latrice Walker and Council Member Alicka Ampry-Samuel at the R.D. Brown Senior Center (Thursday, 11/28 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., 1630 St. Marks Avenue, Between Thomas Boyland St. & Eastern Parkway). 
• Free flu shots will be available Saturday, December 7 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Office of Council Member Carlos Menchaca (4417 4th Avenue). 

 

• Applications for the upcoming cohort of the CCRB’s Youth Advisory Council are now open! Apply online by Friday, November 29, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a working committee made up of young leaders who are committed to criminal justice issues and improving police-community relations. Members will advise CCRB staff about its efforts to engage young New Yorkers, serve as ambassadors to their communities about the agency, and join team-building activities.
• The Brooklyn Public Library is hiring 10 part time census workers. Applications close 12/8. Apply here! 
• Need help with your New York State of Health Account? Stop by our District Office to meet with our community liaison and health specialist, Ron Baez. Ron can help you update your account info, file appeal requests, and more. Stop by on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at our District Office or on Mondays and Wednesdays at the office of Council Member Alicka Ampry-Samuel in Brownsville, 400 Rockaway Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11212. 
• Community Board 7 is looking for nominees to the Youth Recognition Award! Do you volunteer with a young person who inspires others?
