We knocked on over 2,000 doors this weekend for our Census Day of Action! Thank you to all of our volunteers, and the offices of Assemblymember Diana C. Richardson and Community Board 9 for reminding our neighbors that the census is coming up in less than two weeks!

As a friendly reminder, these bulletins are sent out at the beginning of every week with events throughout the community. Events that our office is hosting have an image of Senator Myrie.

Our office will be holding Tenant's Rights Legal Clinics with Mobilization for Justice through 2020! The next clinic will be tomorrow, March 4th from 3-6PM. Clinics are by appointment only so call our office to schedule one! Clinics will be held every second and fourth Monday of every month.

Kings County Hospital is providing free flu shots from 7AM-4PM Mondays through Fridays at the OHS T-Building, 3rd Floor, Room 372.

NYC Small Business Services will host a "Learn How to Understand Key City Rules and Requirements for Businesses" tomorrow, March 4 from 10AM-1PM at the Central Branch - Brooklyn Public Library (10 Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn).

The Brooklyn Borough President will be hosting the Utica Avenue Task Force Kickoff Meeting tomorrow, March 4th from 6:30-8PM at the Crown Gardens Community Room (1185 Carroll Street, Brooklyn). This is a new working group to study transit potential improvements along the Utica Avenue corridor, featuring a presentation from the Regional Plan Association.

We're co-hosting an East Flatbush Career & Job Fair with Assemblymembers Richardson and Perry on Thursday, March 5 from 10AM - 3PM at the Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center! For more info, email Loretta Hamilton at Loretta.Hamilton@labor.ny.gov.

Congresswoman Yvette Clarke is hosting a 2020 Census Town Hall at the Kings Church of Christ (1371 Rogers Avenue, Brooklyn) on Friday, March 6 from 6:30-8PM.

Chinese-American Sunshine House will be hosting a "How to Reduce Stress from the Coronavirus" Mental Health Class on Friday, March 6 at 12PM noon. The class will be conducted in Mandarin Chinese. For more information about other programs and to RSVP, call 917-969-7018.

Pre-K and 3-K Applications Now Open Until March 16: NYC families with children born in 2016 can apply to pre-K, and families with children born in 2017 can apply to 3-K. The NYC DYCD Ladders for Leaders program is currently accepting applications for their 2020 summer internship program. NYC youth residents between 16-21 years of age who are enrolled in high school or college with at least a minimum GPA of 3.00 are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have prior work or volunteer experience and must be legally allowed to work in NYC. More info/application here.

APAICS is currently accepting Youth Leadership Academy applications through April 2, 2020! Asian American and Pacific Islander high schoolers will participate in a week-long program that includes interactive leadership development sessions, guest speakers, and networking opportunities with prominent AAPI leaders and Congressional leaders in Washington, DC. A limited number of scholarships are available for students from low-income households. Apply here.

OCA-UPS Gold Mountain Scholarship of $2,000 for Asian American and Pacific Islander high school seniors who are the first in their family to attend an institution of higher education. Deadline to apply is April 13, 2020 at 11:59 PM PST at https://www.ocanational.org/gold-mountain-scholarship

The Betancourt Macias Family Scholarship Foundation is accepting applications for ALL undocumented students, regardless of DACA eligibility and do not have GPA nor volunteer/club involvement requirements.
